کمبود مواد معدنی و ویتامینی با بیماریهایی نظیر اسکوروی و راشیتیسم همراه است بهبود تغذیه و غنی سازی منبع غذایی از اغلب بیماریهای مرتبط با تغذیه جلوگیری می کند گروه های جمعیتی خاص شامل زنان در سنین باروری، افراد مسن، بیمارانی که رژیم یا داروهای خاصی مصرف می کنند. از مکمل های ویتامینی یا معدنی سود می برند.

- دوران نزدیک به یائسگی و یائسگی برای حفظ استخوان ها نیاز به کلسیم و ویتامین D می باشد. - بزرگسالانی با دریافت کالری کم، معمولا ۱۲۰۰ کالری در روز توصیه شده تا ۳۰۰۰ کالری در روز مصرف کنند لذا نیاز به مصرف مولتی ویتامین دارند. افراد مسن برای جلوگیری از پوکی استخوان، سقوط، ضعف عضلانی، کم خونی، مشکلات عصبی و سرطان پرستات نیاز به مصرف کلسیم ( ۱۲۰۰ – ۱۵۰۰ میلی گرم ) ویتامین ) D ۸۰۰ – ۱۰۰۰ ) واحد ویتامین ) B۱۲ ۱۰۰۰ میکروگرم ) سلنیوم برای مردان ( ۲۰۰ میکروگرم ) دارند.
- در زنان یائسه مبتلا به دیابت به ویتامین C نیاز است ولی نباید با دوز بالا مصرف شود دوز بیش از ۳۰۰ میلی گرم در روز خطر مرگ و میر قلبی عروقی را افزایش می دهد. این ویتامین در شکستگی مچ در افراد مسن خطر دیستروفی سمپاتیک رفلکسی ( نشانگان پیچیده درد منطقه ای ) را تا ۸۳ درصد کاهش می دهد ۵۰۰ میلی گرم در روز تا ۵۰ روز بعد از شکستگی مچ مصرف شود.
- سلنیم و روی سرطان پروستات را کاهش می دهد سلنیم ۲۰۰ میکروگرم در روز مصرف شود مصرف طولانی مدت با دوز بالا خطر سرطان کشنده پروستات را افزایش می دهد از مصرف مکل روی خوداری کنید و بیشتر با مواد غذایی تامین کنید.
- در گیاهخواران مطلق ممکن است دچار کمبود ویتامین های ( B۲' B۱۲' D' کلسیم، آهن و روی شوند و این مسئله باعث کم خونی و نروپاتی در آنها شود این افراد روزانه به ۱۰ میکروگرم ویتامین B۱۲ نیاز دارند در اغلب مولتی ویتامین ها ۶ میکروگرم از این ویتامین وجود دارد و این ویتامین بیشتر درتخم مرغ یا فراورده های لبنی وجود دارد.
- در افرادی که الکل مصرف می کنند بیشتر از نیمی از کالری دریافتی آنها را الکل می گیرد و نیاز به مصرف روزانه مولتی ویتامین دارند این افراد اگر بیماری کبدی دارند مصرف ویتامین E توصیه می شود ویتامین K هم در آنها نیاز است.
- افراد سیگاری مذکر روزانه به ۱۲۵ میلی گرم ویتامین C و افراد مونث سیگاری به ۱۱۰ میلی گرم روزانه نیاز دارند. سیگارها ۳۵ میلی گرم بیشتر غیر سیگاری ها روزانه به این ویتامین نیاز دارند.
- بیماران مرحله پایانی کلیه روزانه به ۰/۸ – ۱ میلی گرم فولیک اسید و ۱۰ میلی گرم یا بیشتر ویتامین B۶ نیاز دارند و ویتامین D باید به صورت کلسی تریول داده شود.
- در استئوآرتریت عضلانی اسکلتی ( زانو ) مکمل کندروتین ( ۵۰۰ میلی گرم ) و گلوکزآمین ( ۴۰۰ میلیگرم ) سه بار در روز مصرف می شود. کندروتین سولفات از غضروف کوسه یا گاو تهیه می شود این فراورده به تنهایی یا در ترکیب با ( آسکوربات منگنز، گلوکزآمین سولفات، یا گلوکزآمین هیدروکلرید ) ساخته شده و در دسترس می باشد.
- در سرطان و بیماریهای قلبی عروقی و کاهش وزن می توان از چای سبز ( ۱- ۱۰ لیوان در روز ) استفاده کرد. چای سبز و چای سیاه، هر دو از گیاه یکسانی تهیه می شوند و تفاوت اصلی میان آنها در فرایند آماده سازی است. با بخار دادن اندک برگ های تازه چای سبز بدست می آید در حالی که چای سیاه از تخمیر برگ چای است. بخار دهی پلی فنول ها در چای را تثبیت می کند و فلاونول ها شامل ( epigallocatechin gallate ) را که مسئول بسیاری از مزایا ( آنتی اکسیدان، و ضد التهابی ) هستند حفظ می کند. چای سبز منبع کافئین ( یک متیل گزانتین محرک دستگاه مرکزی و شل کننده عضلات صاف ) نیز هست.
- روغن ماهی به وسیله مکانیسم هایی مانند ( فعالیت های آنتی اکسیدانی، کاهش تری گلیسرید ها، کاهش خطر آریتمی ها و تجمع پلاکت ها و پائین آوردن فشار خون ) در پیشگیری ثانویه برای محافظت قلب ( با دوز ۸۵۰ میلیگرم DHA – ۱۸۰۰ میلیگرم EPAروزانه ) نقش دارد. روغن ماهی در پیشگیری از سرطان، بیماریهای التهابی روده، زوال عقل ( آلزایمر ) موثر است سازمان جهانی بهداشت مصرف روزانه ۳۰۰میلیگرم DHA – ۵۰۰ میلی گرم EPA را توصیه میکند. هر ۵ میلی گرم روغن ماهی تقریبا ۱۷۰ – ۵۶۰ میلی گرم EPA و ۷۲ – ۳۱۰ میلیگرم DHA دارد.
- در بزرگی خوش خیم پروستات لیکوپن که یک رنگدانه قرمز است و در گوجه فرنگی، فراورده های گوجه فرنگی، توت فرنگی، هندوانه وجود دارد و اثر محافظتی در سرطان پروستات دارد مصرف لیکوپتن با دوز ۱۵ میلی گرم در روز پس از ۶ ماه مقدار PSA را کاهش داده است. مکمل هایی که در اثر مصرف بعضی از دارو ها مورد نیاز است
داروی کلشی سین تولید ویتامین B۱۲را در سلولهای مخاطی مهار می نماید لذا مصرف این ویتامین توصیه می شود.
- کورتیکواستروئیدها با دوز بالای ۵/۷ میلی گرم و به مدت طولانی جذب کلسیم به واسطه ویتامین D در روده و ذخیره آن در استخوان را مهار می کند. استروئید ها به احتباس سدیم منجر می شوند که به فقدان پتاسیم می انجامد در این موارد ۱۵۰۰ میلی گرم کلسیم المنتال و ۸۰۰ – ۱۰۰۰ میلی گرم ویتامین D در روز توصیه می شود و در مواردی که سطح پتاسیم پایین باشد نیاز به درمان تکمیلی می باشد.
- ریفامپین متابولیسم کبدی ویتامین D را کاهش میدهد لذا سطح سرمی کلسیم و ویتامین D را پایش کنید و در صورت نیاز تجویز شود.
- سولفاسالازین ( آزولفیدین ) جذب فولات را مهار می کند و در شکست فولات در رژیم غذایی به فرم قابل جذب مداخله می کند و از طرفی با همولیز گلوبولهای قرمز نیاز به فولات را برای تولید گلبولهای قرمز افزایش می دهد . ۱ میلی گرم اسید فولیک در روز به تنهایی یا ۰/۴ میگی گرم مولتی ویتامین مصرف شود تا کمبود آن جبران و خطر سرطان کولورکتال کاهش یابد.
- اورلیستات جذب چربی و ویتامین های محلول در چربی را بلوکه می کند لذا مصرف ویتامین های محلول در چربی مانند ( A' D' K' E' و بتاکاروتن ) به فاصله ۲ ساعت بعد از مصرف ونوستات توصیه می شود.
- متفورمین ( گلوکوفاژ ) بر سر گیرنده ویتامین B۱۲ فاکتور داخلی وابسته به کلسیم در ایلئوم با کلسیم رقابت می کند لذا مصرف ۱۲۰۰ میلی گرم کلسیم المنتال روزانه این اثر را از بین می برد و امکان جذب مناسب ویتامین B۱۲ را فراهم می کند.
- داروهای مهار کننده پمپ پروتونی باعث کاهش اسید معده و این کاهش شکاف B۱۲ متصل به پروتئین و جذب را کاهش می دهد و با افزایش PH معده جذب کربنات کلسیم کاهش می یابد. لذا کربنات کلسیم را با غذا مصرف کنید یا از سیترات کلسیم استفاده کنید همراه بلوکرهای H۲ هیچ کمبودی دیده نمی شود.مولتی ویتامین ها برای جایگزینی جذب پایین رژیم غذایی کفایت میکند.
- بیمارانی که ( الندرونات، ایباندرونات، ریسدرونات ) مصرف می کند برای تسهیل نگهداری کلسیم در استخوان باید مکمل کلسیم المنتال ۱۵۰۰ میلیگرم و ویتامین D ۸۰۰ – ۱۰۰۰ واحد در روزمصرف کنند.
- در اثر مصرف بلند مدت داروهای ضد تشنج ( فنی توئین، فنوباربیتال، کاربامازپین و پریمیدون ) متابولیسم ویتامین D به ترکیبات غیر فعال افزایش و در عوض جذب کلسیم کاهش یافته و هیپوکلسمی، استئومالاسی و استوپورز ایجاد می شود که در این بیماران باید سطح ویتامین D اندازه گیری شود و در صورت نیاز درمان تکمیلی این ویتامین انجام شود.
- DMPA دپومدروکسی پروژسترون، در زنان بعد از دو سال چگالی استخوانی مهره های کمر و گردن فمور را کاهش می دهد و مصرف کلسیم المنتال ۱۳۰۰ میلی گرم و ویتامین D ۴۰۰ واحد در روز توصیه می شود.
نکاتی در تجویز کلسیم
- میزان کلسیم المنتال در کربنات کلسیم ۴۰ درصد یعنی دو برابر بیشتر از مقدار آن در سیترات کلسیم ۲۱ درصد می باشد.
- مصرف کلسیم جذب آنرا ۲۰ – ۲۵ درصد افزایش می دهد. - جذب کلسیم با افزایش دوز آن کاهش می یابد و در مقادیر بالای ۵۰۰ میلی گرم به سرعت افت می کند. - توصیه می شود مصرف روزانه را به ۳ – ۴ دوز تقسیم کنید.
- کلسیم در جذب برخی آنتی بیوتیک ها مانند تتراسایکلین، فلوروکینولون ها و لووتیروکسین مداخله می کند لذا این دارو ها را ۲ ساعت قبل یا ۴ ساعت بعد از مصرف کلسیم مصرف کنید.
- کلسیم یک یون دو ظرفیتی است و در صورتیکه همزمان با سایر یون های دو ظرفیتی ( آهن، روی، منیزیم ) مصرف شود، برای جذب رقابت می کند.
- کورتیکواستروئیدها جذب کلسیم با واسطه ویتامین D را در روده و جذب آن در استخوان ها را مهار می کند.
- اگر کلسیم کافی با رژیم غذایی تامین شود با اتصال به اگزالات در روده و جلوگیری از جذب آن در واقع به کاهش تشکیل سنگ کلیوی منجر می شود.

Another candidate reported: “I saw a huge statute made of bronze…. On a small hill; there were a few houses down the said hill; there were also a few streets, with trees”. Some of dreams were strange including visitation of a superstar or attending a filming studio”. Using a language database under the name of “Word Net”, Kamitani et al could extra keywords from among verbal reports of candidates and classified the said keywords in twenty groups (Automobile, male, female, computer, etc). The said groups were classified, based on frequency of repetition of the said words in reported dreams. At the next stage, scientists prepared a few images of each group. Showing the said images to candidates, they got scan of brain of the said persons while watching the said images.
Comparing the operation of brain of the said individuals, while watching an image and corresponding one in their dreams, was the principal method, used for dream decoding by Japanese researchers.
